It is a good story about an ex Nazi in hiding and the smart kid who learns of him by accident.

In this story at least the bad guys get what they deserve eventually. A number of innocents get a bad outcome but the overall sense of the story is that the problems we run up against are self created by and large.
It is worth listening to on CD, though reading it might not be my first choice.
